In Ontario, Municipal Elections are held every four years. On Monday, October 25, 2010 the citizens from The City of Greater Sudbury will elect a Mayor and 12 Councillors.Additionally, School Board Trustees from the Rainbow District School Board, Sudbury Catholic School Board, Conseil scolaire du district du Grand Nord de l'Ontario and Conseil scolaire de district catholique du Nouvel-Ontario will be elected.

Nominations for Office commence on Monday, January 4, 2010.

Every elector will be asked to provide proof of identity and qualifying address. Government issued documentation that requires the person to write in the address will not be accepted as proof of address (e.g. passports).
